A

Activity

An Activity is a on-line collaborative event to which people (or companies) are invited to provide their input. A requirements gathering activity is an example of a Data Collection/Voting activity, which might seek to capture each person's views on the priority of requirements along with suggestions for additions or modifications. An RFP/RFx response is a special type of activity that is designed to capture vendors' responses to questions, requirements, terms and conditions, pricing, and other procurement-related information.

Contributor

A Contributor is someone who has been invited to participate in a collaborative DecisionDirector activity in order to provide their input or feedback. Also referred to as a "Participant" and a "Stakeholder".

Document Library

A document library is a place in DecisionDirector where documents can be created, stored, and accessed for use in projects.

Dynamic Document

Rich, configurable, extensible, and shareable, dynamic documents form the core of DecisionDirector's process automation. Examples of dynamic documents include questions that vendors will be asked to answer, requirements for stakeholders to review and for vendors to subsequently respond, terms and conditions for vendors to mark-up, and business process review documents to facilitate stakeholder feedback.

Participant

A Participant is someone who has been invited to participate in a DecisionDirector activity in order to provide their input or feedback. Also referred to as a "Contributor" and a "Stakeholder".

PMO

PMO stands for Project (or "Program" or "Portfolio") Management Office. A growing number of organizations and institutions have created PMOs that provide project management expertise, methodologies, tools, resources, and other services to important initiatives and projects throughout the enterprise. In many ways, PMOs act as internal management consultants that provide their services to departments and teams that need them.

Response Definition

A Response Definition is the configurable set of input fields, or field, used to collect input from stakeholders (aka contributors).

Stakeholder

A Stakeholder is someone who has a vested interest in the process or the outcome of a project. Stakeholders can be invited to be "contributors", or "participants", within the collaborative activities that are part of a DecisionDirector project.

Workspace

A Workspace is where projects in DecisionDirector are created and managed. Workspaces consist of a document library and one or more collaborative activities. Workspaces also include configurable options such as response definitions, tokens, and tags.
